The monsoon trough lies within the vicinity of the region until Tuesday as a result wet and cloudy weather conditions, and over the east coast states a heavy rainfall episode is possible and a heavy rain warning has been issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
From Tuesday monsoon trough moves slightly north with westerly steering flow possibly establishing over the region again.
