Explanatory notes:

Light northeast monsoon conditions persist over the region until Saturday.From Sunday the low level winds become light and variable with the development of sea breezes especially likely as the doldrums form over the region as the subtropical high pressure over the western pacific contracts along with the Siberian High with the development of a Bai Yu front over central China..

Until Friday drier 
and more stable air from the subtropics penetrates into the 
region reducing the rain chances to slight chances with the development of sea breeze convergence and/or 
anabatic lifting of sea breezes still expected then along with strong solar heating.

The rain chances increases again next weekend and into early next week as the atmosphere is expected to become more moist and unstable with sea breeze convergence and/or anabatic lifting of sea breezes also expected then.

From next Tuesday the steering flow is also expected to be from the southwest as both the monsoon trough and southern monsoon trough moves north.This leads to chances of showers and thunderstorms,mainly over coastal areas during the early hours and morning as showers and thunderstorms develop over the Straits of Melaka due to land breeze convergence and are steered towards the coast.
