Until Tomorrow moderate northeast monsoon conditions with a steering flow somewhat from the east over the region with moist and unstable atmosphere and thus high to very high chances of showers and thunderstorms especially from afternoon.

Then from Wednesday the region lies within the doldrum region again with a moist and unstable atmosphere as the Siberian High contracts and a northern monsoon trough forms and lies north of the forecast area leading to a light steering flow,from the south/southwest.The light south/southwesterly steering flow also means possible showers and thunderstorms in the early hours and morning as showers and thunderstorms forming due to land breeze convergence over the Straits of Melaka could propagate onshore.
