Explanatory notes:
Northeast monsoon throughout the forecast period with the monsoon trough within the vicinity of the region,as a result wet weather conditions especially early to mid next week with the development of a tropical low east of the east coast possible.
Another heavy rainfall episode over the east coast states is possible next week as predicted by many weather models including the GFS and ECMWF but still some uncertainty. This heavy rainfall episode could be accompanied by the development of a tropical low within the vicinity of Northern Peninsula Malaysia and this could lead to especially wet weather conditions throughout the Peninsula from Monday to Wednesday.
The chances of rain decreases late during the working week as the monsoon trough moves slightly to the north leading to westerly winds penetrating the 900 hPa-500 hPa level.
