A northeast monsoon meridional cold surge affects the region next week as the high pressure system over China spreads southwards with a tropical weather system near the Philippines with relatively dry and stable and cool air penetrating the region from the northeast,hence reduced chances of rain and only showers,no thunderstorms but still some uncertainty.
Westerly steering flow possibly returns mid next week.
