Low level winds will be light and variable with the development of sea breezes especially likely with a moderately moist and unstable atmosphere as the doldrums form over the region until the weekend.

From tomorrow till Friday the steering flow is also expected to be light and then somewhat from the southwest on Thursday and Friday.This leads to chances of showers and thunderstorms during the early hours and morning as showers and thunderstorms develop over the Straits of Melaka due to land breeze convergence and are steered towards the coast.

From Friday typical wet season conditions as the atmosphere becomes very moist and unstable with prevailing easterly low level winds over the region with a steering flow shifting to be somewhat from a north/northwesterly direction as subtropical high pressure over the Northwestern Pacific expands and strengthens.Sea breeze convergence and/or anabatic lifting of sea breezes are likelyleading to the development of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours.
