Until Friday the steering flow is also expected to be light and from the southwest.This leads to chances of showers and thunderstorms during the early hours and morning as showers and thunderstorms develop over the Straits of Melaka due to land breeze convergence and are steered towards the coast.
From Friday typical wet season conditions as the atmosphere becomes very moist and unstable with prevailing easterly low level winds over the region with a steering flow that will be light and variable as subtropical high pressure over the Northwestern Pacific expands and strengthens.Sea breeze convergence are likely leading to the development of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours.
