Kuala Lumpur 7 day weather forecast produced at 10:20 PM Saturday March 4:
Explanatory notes:
Update:the latest weather radar images indicates that an isolated shower had developed near the city centre.The latest weather baloon(radiosonde) data from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at around 7 PM indicates a light steering flow from the north which is different from that predicted by the GFS 0600 Zulu run and ECMWF 00 Zulu run for that time.The movement of the isolated shower which just formed is also in agreement with the steering flow observed by the radiosonde.I am expecting a similar steering flow(light from the north/northwest) tomorrow afternoon.

During early next week(from Sunday) enhanced risk of showers and thunderstorms as weak background low
level easterly winds the development of sea breezes are likely from
afternoon to early night.This will lead to sea breeze convergence and/or
anabatic lifting of sea breezes up the Titiwangsa mountain range
leading to the development of showers and thunderstorms,the models are now generally converging on a steering flow from the northwest during this period.This also means possible showers and thunderstorms during the morning especially over the coastal areas with the development of showers and thunderstorms over the Straits of Melaka due to land breeze convergence.
During the middle of next week drier
and more stable air from the subtropics penetrates into the
region,reducing the rain chances to slight to medium chances with the development of sea breeze convergence and/or
anabatic lifting of sea breezes still expected then along with strong solar heating.The timing of any showers and thunderstorms should be later than earlier during the week as the drier air means that it will take time for the convection inhibition to be overcomed and instability to build up with the strong solar heating.
